So first laptop crisis has been averted...
Jan. 7th, 2011 02:03 amThe first crisis of the new laptop has been averted...
It's true, I've only had my new baby in my possession for almost 12 hours...most of those where I was unfortunately detained in hell... *cough*read work*cough*
And I have lived through my first problem. Nothing google and some determination couldn't handle.
I was on my journal page, and I apparently had two fingers on the mouse pad at the same time... While this might have not been an issue for my old laptop, apparently, it is for this one. My mouse pad has the "pinch zoom" enabled. So I can "pinch in" or "pinch out" and my screen will adjust to the size I want...
I am familiar with the technology, its used on my Iphone, and it'swholly unnecessary on my laptop...hell, I only use it on my phone when I play Angry Birds...lol.
So there ya go, crisis averted. Yay.
Now, I'm off to bed, because I have to be at work in *checks watch* 5 & 1/2 hours...fml. But its ok...know why? BECAUSE when I get off I'm gonna come home and play on my new computer for hours and I am being completely truthful!!!
ha ha ha
:)
p.s. I was slightly sad for a moment just now...I wanted to have *smug* as my mood, but it's not an option. Sad days. So, satisfied it is! :)

Jul. 14th, 2010 09:20 amI was reading a Smallville fanfic, which had to be Clex, because how can there be any other?
Anyway, it was a story called Reconcilable Differences, by Astolat. She was suggested to me by the awesome
tattoo_kink. Now that the info's out of the way...here's the whole point to this entry...
Astolat starts out the story with these notes, "I've borrowed a bunch of DC comics characters for this story; the one that I feel needs some real explanation is Kon, aka Superboy, who is the test-tube baby of Superman and Lex Luthor. (No, I am seriously not making this up. I would have, but the writers at DC generously smoke crack so we fans don't have to.)
Need I say more? I mean really? tick one in the column for slash fans everywhere...
I'm really off to bed now. At least for a few hours. :) Then swinging by the library to have lunch w/ H and my last day at work! YES! *fanfare*

Jul. 14th, 2010 06:31 amNot sure what prompted me to do this, but I decided to, maybe because I was bored...who knows?
Anyway...I took a portion of The Draft, and it spit out the name Dan Brown. WTF is that?
Ok. Google, and wa la. Ok. I know who he is now.
Interesting. So I decide to check a different section, spits out the name Chuck Palahniuk... huh?
Hmm...
I try it a 3rd time, because you have to have at least 3 examples to use when you plot a chart for data and whatnot, but anywhoo! It spits out the name Jane Austen, which leaves me totally humbled if I wasn't for SURE that this is a load of crock!
All three samples were about the same length and from the same work! Hmm...lol. It gave me a laugh anyway.
ten minutes later...
...so I can't leave well enough alone...I copy and pasted a part of my Bingo entry into the whatchamadilly and it gave me Chuck Palahniuk again, so at least that's some progress...
AND now I'm like James Joyce! Grr...lol. Ok. I'm done.
I lied...I got Dan Brown again...NOW I'm done. For real...

A Table for my Profile Page
Jul. 12th, 2010 06:49 amSo I have spent the last two hours working on a table for my profile page...I was pretty proud of it too...only the color didn't translate...how sad is that... *pouts*
It needs some work, lol, especially the spacing and what now. But I had the background color matching the rest of my profile and I was super stoked...now sad days...
Oh well, I'm headed to bed...I'll take a look at it when I get home from work.
Boo...

Supernatural Kiss for the Win?
Jun. 14th, 2010 11:06 pmI don't remember where I saw this, but you have to go this site and vote for the best kiss from the show on the CW.
Guess who's up for a nomination?
Dean & Jo!
There is a little video that will replay all the kiss from each show. You can of course watch them all and vote, or just decide to vote for SPN, because, well, duh... :)
Anyway, thought the show needed some more support!
