Weekend Away

So, yea Friday! Woot for the end of the work week! Yea Baby!

I love the weekend! It's two days of absolutely nothing to do but laze about, errands if I feel so inclined...but highly unlikely. LoL. I would just love to sleep and chill with J.

*sigh*

It's not be done. Tomorrow is J's mum's retirement party...lol...that was a mouthful. So off I go to STL to decorate, organize and run interference between everyone who is there to "help". FML.

LoL. No, I don't think it will be that bad. Just a whole bunch of people I don't coming to wish S.Mom good luck, well wishes and all that rot. I do know we'll have nice music though! Go soft rock. I actually know 3/4 of the set list...who would have thought? Hmm. Horizons Broadened. Check.

After we send everyone off and tear down the hall I hear were going out. Woot. I'm sure I'm going to be the sober driver. It will be my solemn duty to make sure they don't commit any unpardonable offenses while everyone is wasted...Joy. Go me for being dependable. I better get at least my one Vodka & Cranberry or someone is going to lose vital body parts! Seriously.

Sunday is shaping up to be a slow day. Just laze around, make sure everyone who is hung over has some Excedrin and a glass of water, then I get to drive back up here to the empty house. :( Roommie is going to go to Vegas for about 5 days, so I'll be all alone. :( When I hear about the awesome time J has with what's her face...her travel companion's name is elusive at the moment...oh well...Anyway, I'll make sure to take notes for you Steph...

I wanna go on vacation! Speaking of people going on vacation without me, Mum and T are headed to Galveston w/o me!

Last time we went there we were all together. :( That's what I get for living 12 hours from home...Oh well. Mum said we could go for a short trip to Houston to see a cousin of mine when I get home so that'll be nice. I miss my family. I'm glad to have a D-Day for my return.

I'm sure by Sept. I am going to be eating those words, but oh well. Grass is always greener, right?

Oh! And I think I'm going to go get my hair cut! Its a big step for me. Mum is the only person to ever cut my hair, and I'm kinda nervous. Mum being a stylist and all, I've always trusted her to not leave me looking tragic, and besides, how hard are layers? Yea. But I want something different. So I think I am going to be brave. Go Me! Let's see if I can go through with it.

I'm off to bed. I'm tired. And I have lots of errands to run before I head off to STL. I hate driving by myself. FML.

I've tried that once and half of my f-list was all: Is anything okay? You'd "depressed" as mood. *ggg* YEP! I liked that mood and picture.

YAY for getting a new hair cut! Since mine is short and dyed black - there's nothing I can change about it - but I like it as it is. *nods*

I'm the sober driver too! Mostly I'll drink my diet coke, latte or passion fruit juice spritzer. Yeah. Not very well known - but in Germany we'll drink it almost every day. *g*

Sammy Mood theme. Wish I could have one of those for my cell phone. Then I could choose one and text it to my family and friends to warn them away if I'm feeling bitchy...oh. Random thought...does Sammy have a bitchy mood theme? I'll have to investigate.

I was supposed to get a hair cut, but it didn't happen. LoL. Not because I chickened out, but because some of my other errands took to long. So maybe this weekend. We'll see.

I did get my Vodka and Cranberry, and a shot of something called Washington Apple? It didn't taste like alcohol. But that was the limit for me. After that it was water and pretzels. Sober driver was me.

Yea New week...lol. :) The weekend was so busy I feel like I didn't rest at all. Ugh. LOL. :)

Even if I get to the salon this weekend and decide to fur go the haircut I may treat myself to a shampoo and style, because there is nothing better than a little head scratches...I'm like a cat. I need to be petted regularly or I get cranky. LoL.

I can't believe there are acutally people out there who get all bitchy when someone gets their hands in the hair. Well, okay. If I'd a date or an important appointment I'd be pissed too if someone would mess with my hair - but beside that: AWESOME! *gg*

OMG I know!

I can't wait to get home so I can curl up at my grandma's knee and ask here to pet me. LoL. She always laughs when I do that.

Especially since I'm almost 5'8", and a size 20. I'm not tiny, and she looks at me like I'm crazy sometimes. LoL. And she combs my hair after I shower when I visit, every single time.

LoL. I love having my hair combed. Especially when it's really long. About a year ago I asked my Mum to comb my hair while I was visiting home and then when she wandered into the kitchen my GMA came into the living room and sat in the chair Mum vacated. When I heard her head into the room I flipped my hair upside down and messed it all up. When she sat behind me I just handed her my comb.

She didn't even blink, just started combing. My aunt was sitting across for me and then ratted me out...lol... I got a pop on the head for that scam. LoL. I've tried it a couple more times, but it just won't work...GMA is wise to my games...lol. She's a wilely one.

Here's to hoping some head scratches are in your future!

It's not the same when you having short hair. The longest I got it was just over the shoulders... and then I was annoyed with it and cut it short - again. *g*

I could almost sit on my hair once...lol. It was ridiculous. I cut off 19 1/2 in! I donated it to Wigs for Kids, they make wigs for kids who have lost their hair due to illness.

I usually let it grow out long enough to donate, at least 12 inches, and then I cut it. Last year was the first time I'd cut my hair before I had enough to donate since I was 14. I felt kind of bad. But short hair is just so much easier to manage. ;)

What can I say? English Major! I paint pictures with little to no effort, and at the most ridiculous times. Besides, if I didn't tell my stories in words I wouldn't have any way to express myself. I am beyond challenged when it comes to artsy stuff. :) LoL.
